MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We are so excited for Christmas this year, Ellie is really getting the whole Santa coming to town, which makes it so much fun.

She is getting so big, I was taking her to see Santa on Saturday and I asked her what she was going to say to Santa and she said... Trick or Treat! Too cute the things that come out of her mouth.

We are amazed at how fast she is growing and how time is just flying by.

We just love our little Ellie Bug and we are so grateful to have her in our lives!!!

I honestly don't know how she can get any cuter! I am in LOVE with this age! Ellie's little personality is really coming out, this is how she started the day off today. I bought these PJ's for Halloween but she insisted in wearing them to bed last night.

She LOVES picking out her clothes, she is loving dresses and SHOES! Oh shoes, she has her "dance shoes", her flip flops and boots... she loves jewelry....rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings...she just cant get enough.....

I love the girly girl in her...I think it's because I was such a Tom-boy....

Ellie's First Hair Cut

So I decided it had to be done...

Poor little Ellie, she finally has hair but the way it was coming in was well....a mess! She has long pieces, short pieces, curly pieces...I decided I can do this, just a little bit off the ends, no sweat!

Well...it turned into a little bit more then a little trim... It looks SO much better but she looks like a little boy:( hopefully it will start growing back soon... I have to say, she's the cutest little boy I've ever seen!

Back Packs and Wings

Christmas At The McClintick's

What a wonderful Christmas!!! Jeff's parents were able to come out from Florida to spend the Holiday with us, it was so much fun having them here. Ellie just loves her Grammy and Papa!

On my side of the family it seems to have become a tradition that first thing in the morning everyone gets up, lines up and makes the walk down to where the presents are...well I wanted to keep that tradition going even though the line is quite a bit smaller with one person in it...LOL! I think Ellie got the hang of it though...she is still learning how to go up and down steps so she took a little tumble but got right up and headed for her gifts...my favorite moment is seeing her reaction...just love it!

Ellie got so many wonderful things, she is loved so very much by everyone. After a while of opening her gifts she got a little tired so we took a break... I think it had something to do with having to hug every gift she received...she's too cute.

Later that afternoon we had Jeff's Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle come over for Christmas dinner, of which Jeff's Mom did a fantastic job making. She's such a wonderful cook!!
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and to have our little Ellie Bug...

Miss Lady Bug for Halloween

I was so excited this year for Halloween, thinking yeah...she gets it! We will be able to go trick or treating and she will be so excited to dress up....OH BOY was I WRONG!!! WOW!! Miss Ellie wanted nothing to do with her Halloween costume and forget trick or treating!

What was fun though is staying at home and having Ellie run to the door and watch all the kids in their costumes saying trick or treat...Ellie would say bye to each and every one of them and waive. That made my entire Halloween!

We were able to get a picture of Ellie 6 days later in her costume...were she had no problem putting it on and playing in it...

Ellies Big Girl Bed

This weekend we had to go buy Ellie a new bed, with her being off the charts on her height percentile she no long fits very well in her crib and is able to get her leg over the rail, so before she falls out I figured its time:)

It's a bitter sweet moment, I am realizing that she is growing up and I love it but am sad, I love my little baby girl!

Ellie fell asleep before we finished putting her bed together, so we just placed her in, keeping our fingers crossed that she didn't fall out. She's a wild sleeper:)

We were so paranoid that we lined the bed with pillows just in case...I hope this is all part of being a new parent, or maybe we are just crazy over protective parents...

Ellie did amazing, she didn't fall out and made it to 4:57 this morning before having to get in bed with us...I love morning cuddle time.

I walked Ellie into her room this morning and sad Ellie look...she was so excited to see her new bed. What a perfect moment!

Today day is the day that I married my best friend 3 years ago! I never thought that I could find someone who still to this day gives me butterflies when I see them.

He takes amazing care of me and is the greatest dad to our little Ellie!

My Girly Girl!!!

When we found out that we were having a girl, I was a little worried. The reason being is I have always been a tom boy and was worried I would have a hard time doing the things girls love...hair, clothes, nails and jewelry.

But watching Ellie and how much she is SUCH a girly girl and how much she loves her little purses, dresses, jewelry, baby dolls and yes...getting her toes painted has me so excited to experience it with her.

I am having so much fun shopping for those dresses, purses, jewelry, baby dolls and nail polish...I get so excited because I LOVE seeing her little expression.

Utah Trip

We were lucky enough to head down to Utah for Memorial Day weekend. We were able to meet our new little niece, celebrate 4 birthdays, visit with Makenna and have Ellie's 15 month old pictures taken by my amazing sister in law. She does such a wonderful job and we are so grateful for her.

We love being able to go and see the family and spend time with them, its something I look forward to at least once a year.

Cant wait until our next visit.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day was fantastic!! I had such a good day with my little family. It was so relaxing, we went and bought Ellie a new quad, lets just say she LOVES it! We sat in the backyard watched her play on her new toy and just enjoyed each others company.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful Husband who takes such good care of his girls. I am looking forward to many, many more Mothers Days!!

Phoenix Zoo

We took Ellie to the Zoo today, we think she had fun, I know that we did. It's so much fun to see how fearless this little girl is. She wasn't afraid of anything.

She fed the giraffes, brushed the goats and was face to face with the monkeys.

The one thing I loved is Ellie wore her sunglasses almost the entire time...it was too cute.

We are having so much fun taking her to do things for the first time, it's kind of like living my childhood again...so much fun!!

Crazy Drivers

We took Ellie to her friend Katelyn's house because Katelyn's daddy bought her a new little jeep. Ellie thought is was so much fun! Ellie kept standing up saying go go go... it was too cute!! Neither one of them could figure out how to do it so Marney and I had to push the peddle with our hand, it was a lot of work but worth seeing how much fun they had.

Easter

It feels like its Ellies first Easter because shes mobile, but really it is her second one. Time is flying by so fast. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday, Ellies Grandpa & Grandma McClintick sent her a cute Easter basket with little treats and a bunny she wont put down, Jeff and I enjoyed eating up all the chocolate.

It was such a beautiful day that we were able to throw all the plastic eggs in the middle of the grass in the back yard and have her go to town. She had so much fun.

Later that day Jeffs Grandma and Uncle came over and we decided to try to take some easter pictures with Ellie in her Easter dress, she was so funny. I just love this little personality coming out.

Ellies First Easter

So, I had a brilliant idea, so I thought. I was out shopping one day and saw this cute little bunny that the kids were sitting with and taking pictures, like Santa. I came home and told Jeff, wouldn't it be so cute to take Ellie to have her Easter pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. He giggled and said sure...(what a good husband, always agrees with his wife's crazy ideas).

We got Ellie all dressed up, flower in her growing hair and went to see the Easter Bunny. Mind you Ellie LOVED Santa Claus so I figured it was going to be the same type of experience. OH was I wrong... this was her expression.

I felt so bad, but at the same time I LOVE this picture!! We were finally able to get a not so scared but I am still really mad at you look...

I love this little girl so much and I am loving every minute of every day with her. Happy Easter!!!

Ellie's 1st Birthday!

Has it really been a year? I can't believe it!

We were able to have a fantastic birthday for Ellie! We had most of our friends and family come, it is incredible the amount of support and love that we have. I am so grateful to have Ellie in our lives, but I am even more grateful to have been blessed to have two additional familys become part of ours. This entire process has been more then we could ever have asked for.

Its been so much fun watching the process of Ellie growing, it seems like yesterday she was trying to roll over, now she's walking.

I think it is pretty safe to say that Ellie enjoyed ever bit of her birthday, from all the love and attention, to the presents and I think her favorite part was her birthday cake.

I could not have asked for a better gift for Christmas then Ellie! We are so grateful to have her in our lives and as part of our family. She has such a wonderful personality, she is so happy all the time and she cracks herself up...it is to much fun to watch.

Miss Ellie woke up at 5:00 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep, I think she knew she had all those toys waiting for her.

Once she made her way to the living room her little face just lit up, it was so precious to watch. I look forward to the many Christmas's to come...

Little Miss Hollywood

Today we went out for a day of shopping and little miss Ellie had so much fun. We put her little winter hat on her with her cute little sun glasses and she thought it was the greatest thing ever. She is so funny! I couldnt stop laughing!

Zoo Advertures

Ellie went to the zoo for the first time with her cousins, she had a blast...the most exciting thing for Ellie was going through her diaper bag and throwing things out until she found her treats, then she tried to lick them out... it was super cute.

She is growing up so fast and I love each day she starts doing something new or a new piece of her already cute personality comes out...

Ellies First Halloween

I had bought Ellie a cute bunny costume a few weeks ago and the closer it was getting to Halloween it wasn't fitting so good so I had to go out and buy another one...she ended up being a cute little lamb. The bunny costume was so cute on her I had to try to get a couple of pictures of her in it. By the end of the night we ended up with kitty ears that Grandpa got her. Overall it was a great night with our little social butterfly. We cant wait for next year when we get to take her trick or treating.

The weather has been so nice that for the last couple of weekends I have been taking Ellie on a nice little walk with me. One Saturday I decided, ok I am going to do it...we are going to go in the swing...Oh my goodness was Ellie the happiest baby ever! She loved it... It was the perfect moment for me. I LOVE watching her try new things and her little personality coming out. She is fearless and I love it!

Big Girl!!

About 3 months ago I had to lower Ellies crib and it almost made me cry...ok it did make me cry that she is growing up so fast. Well the other day, this cute little thing peeks her head over the crib, then she pushed her bumper down and gave the biggest smile...then all of the sudden...POP there she was! Her facial expression looked like, look what I can do....with the biggest grin. So I started crying because now I have to lower her crib again...which means our little baby is growing up...its a bitter sweet moment.

Sweet Ellie

I had to go to Utah for a work conference and was able to stay through the weekend and spend time with family. While I was there Ellie and I were able to see Makenna, Lisa and little Millie...along with Nick, Colby, Chandler and Sage...it was so nice and fun to visit and catch up and for Ellie to spend time with all of her family.

We were also able to spend time with my sister in law Jessica, she is so wonderful...I just love her to death. She took these beautiful pictures of Ellie for us and I just think that they turned out perfect. She is so talented and we are ever so grateful to her. Thanks Jess!!!

My poor little Ellie picked up a horrible habit and I feel so bad...So recently when playing with Ellie I would scrunch my nose and do funny faces, well she has decided that, that is the way you smile and does it all the time...the worst part is she has learned how to blow in and out of her nose while doing it...so not only does it not look the best now it sounds like little pig snorts. The Nannie took Ellie outside for a photo shoot, I think she nailed it! Ellie is growing so fast, its amazing. I went through her clothes the other day and too think how small she use to be...she is now almost 7 months old and wears 9-12 month clothes...I cant believe it. She is in the 90 percentile for her height, 75 for her head and 50 for her weight....she's going to be tall! We just love her so very much and we feel so grateful to have her part of our family!

4th of July

We had an amazing time being able to go to Utah for Ellies first 4th of July. It was great seeing family and most of all Makenna, we just love her to death and enjoy her being a part of our family now.

Ellie was able to go to her first carnival, parade and to see her first firework show, which she was so amazed with and then fell asleep the moment they were over with.

It has been so fun to watch her grow and to see the way she is so memorized by the little things in life.

It was truly the best 4th of July I have had in a very long time. I cant wait until next year!

Today Ellie was able to taste for the first time rice cereal, boy did she like it! Now that she has had a little taste of food, she eyes ya when ever your eating... She also loves her apple juice, we do not recommend taking her bottle from her until she is done.

Well, our little one is growing up! Ellie is now a roller....on June 8th Ellie made her first complete roll... she now wants to roll in her crib, bouncer, swing, car seat, floor you name it she wants to roll.

She already will lay on her back and scoot with her feet along the floor and crib, this little one is going to be crawling before we know it.

We are having so much fun watching her grow....

Seattle

Ellie took her first plane ride to Seattle Washington this past weekend to go to her Great Grandparents Memorial. It was wonderful having all of Jeff's family finally get to meet her. While we were there we took Ellie down to the pier where her Great Grandparents use to live, it was so windy she wasn't having it so we had to cut our experience short. We took our first ferry boat ride while we were there, it was so much fun.

Ellie did amazing on the plane, we only had two melt downs, overall she slept!

We look forward to our next plane adventure and hope that she continues to do so well.

2 Months Old

Little old Ellie is growing up!! Today she weighed in at 10 lbs 11 oz, 23 1/2 inches long...WOW! Ellie is in the 50% range for weight, 90% for Height and 75% for Head and a 100% for adorableness.

We are loving every minute of every day with her... Ellie is starting to reach and play with things, she is ALWAYS smiling and she has started to laugh, its not quite there but shes making noises..

We think she will start rolling over soon, she is already starting to roll to one side, we think it is just a matter of time...we cant wait!

Oh yes, little Ellie has found her thumb...kind of...she cant quite figure out how to straighten it enough to get it completely in there so she gets MAD...sometimes we are up for at least an hour before she will give up and finally take the Binky!

Bath Time

Today Ellie turned 1 month old, WOW time is already flying... As you can see we did bath time today, she does enjoy it even though her look may suggest other wise. She is getting those little rolls on her chin, thighs and wrists....I LOVE IT!! Our little Ellie is growing stronger and stronger ever day. She LOVES kicking and holding her head up... we look forward to see what tomorrow will bring....

Ellie Makenna

This blog was made for Ellie so all her loved ones can continue to see her grow!

Ellie is now one day short of being 3 weeks old, time is flying! We went to our two week check up and are happy to report that our little Ellie has grown two inches and has gained 2 lbs, she now is 21 inches long and 8 lbs 3 oz. Ellie is in the 90 percentile for her height so we are pleased to say we might have a little basketball player on our hands...

She is starting to focus on objects and that smile is coming out more and more. We are loving everyday and seeing her change into her own has been so much fun.

We will keep you updated on her progress, we love each and everyone of you.
